Managing money is not easy, and it’s even harder with the holidays peeping around the corner. If you’re someone like me and easily gets carried away with purchases during the festive season (ie. one-gift-for-her-and-one-for-me-type-human), perhaps using a personal finance app could be a great solution to your woes. They can help you manage and stay on top of your money and give you an overview of where you’re at financially in a matter of seconds. We’ve compiled a list of our favorites below!

Mint for iOS & Android

Mint is a free app that’s designed for you to get a complete overview of your finances. Easy to use and highly automated, Mint features:

  • Simple download and setup
  • Excellent mobile support
  • Simple budgeting tools
  • Customizable alerts

It’s a one-stop-shop so you can see your entire financial situation at a glance. Mint color codes and categorizes your spending so you can quickly see where your money goes.

Money Manager for iOS & Android

Money Manager is an effect app for budgeting your money. If you are into aesthetics, this one’s for you. MM features a more visual experience so you can see where your money is going instead of just reading numbers and dome of the main features include:

  • Finance planner
  • Income reviewer
  • Expense tracker
  • Personal asset manager

Money Manager also provides you with a passcode lock, instant stats, and up-to-the-moment bookkeeping. You can also backup and restore your data in case you need to switch devices. It also outputs to an Excel spreadsheet format if you’re into that kinda stuff.

Monefy for iOS & Android

Monefy is all about simplicity and its claim to fame is how quick it is to use. The app tries to set itself up in a way that makes adding new data quickly and easily and it does a pretty decent job. Alongside that, you’ll get various currency support, a built-in calculator, passcode protection, Dropbox integration, widgets, and more. The interface takes a moment to learn but once you get into using the app, it really is easy.
